Started by chaining 298 stitches. In fingering weight yarn and a size E hook. That’s the short side of this shawl, finished measurement is supposed to be around 47 inches. I think this will take a while. #quarticciu #crochet #ravelry

Finished Hat

Finished hat, pre-blocking. It’s a beret/tam style, so will look quite different after blocking. Hand dyed yarn (purchased on Etsy), cables and lace. Not in love with the design, but it’s OK. #ravelry

Color Cables

New knitting with color project. Thankfully, the crazy is only the band of the hat, and then the rest will be solid grey. I’m loving how it looks so far, even though my stitches are far from uniform. So much fun! #ravelry #knitting

Has that tree always been there?

Sitting at the dealership, waiting to find out how much it will cost to repair my side view mirror. Last Friday, I accidentally backed into the tree in the middle of our driveway. Probably wont have time to fixed my chipped nail polish or do anything in my office tonight, so I might have to take a day off. We’ll see how long this takes. #crochet #ravelry

Lazy Friday evening

No sewing post tonight. After the trip to get lumber and a visit to the woodworking shop, it’s a lazy Friday evening crocheting and introducing Prince Charming to The 4400. #crochet #ravelry

Teal Shrug Selfie

I am terrible at selfies, as this pic attested, but I wanted to show off today’s outfit. eBay-ed Ann Taylor tank, me-made teal crocheted shrug, and me-made jasper necklace. #crochet #ravelry
The back of my shrug. Not sure if I ever showed pictures of it after it was completed. I really love the color, though I don’t have much that coordinates. It’s 100% cotton, so it’s nice and light for summer/early fall.

It’s a great color

So this is the crochet project I’m working on now. Should be finished some time this weekend. This green looks way better in person. #crochet #ravelry
Here you can see the pattern a little better. I love that diamond lace pattern at the bottom. It’s a bolero/shrug. Don’t recommend the pattern, but am nonetheless happy with the (almost) end product. #crochet #ravelry

New Shawl

My new crocheted shawl! I tried to get the colors right in the pic, but orange is hard to photograph (just ask any redhead). The yarn is Bernat Cotton, I think, and the colors are stone, violet, and spice. So proud of all my hard work! #crochet #ravelry
It could be a teensy bit bigger, but it works well as a light summer shawl. It worked up fast, too. A week or so? So different from knitting. #crochet #ravelry

Short-Sleeved Cardi Update

Finished the right side of the short-sleeved cardi over the weekend. #knitting #ravelry
I started the left side last night. These panels go so much faster than the back did! #knitting #ravelry
