Chatty

You might not know it from the state of this blog, but apparently I’m feeling chatty today. I’m commenting on blogs (which I rarely do), posting to Tumblr, being generally overly wordy….

A former co-worker passed away this morning – he had retired because of his illness, and it was inevitable (very vigorous type of cancer), but still sad. He had many good friends here. The atmosphere around here is a bit more reflective.

Two classes left, including tonight. Still don’t have the final essay assignment, so it looks like I’ll be doing that this weekend, along with digging up our yard, painting, and sewing (I’m finishing projects! It’s amazing!). Conveniently, I’ve taken a few days off after my last class (next Wednesday), so I’ll have some time to play catch-up on life before the fall semester starts… the week after that. 🙂 Of course, I haven’t actually talked with my adviser yet, so I don’t know what classes to take and am certainly not signed up. Small detail. I really need to call to set up an appointment, but here’s the thing: the entire program is moving from the Minneapolis campus to the St Paul campus right now. Couldn’t they have done that in, say, July, long before the start of school and all that chaos? Will anyone even be able to find paperwork? Who knows.
