Friday Fill-Ins

  1. We need transporter technology like they have on Star Trek – seriously, someone should get on that.
  2. I thought of you and it made me smile.
  3. If you want  to be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife… (which is now stuck in my head).
  4. Finishing a good book is both happy and sad because it’s great to get to the end of the story (resolution, everyone’s happy, etc), but then it’s over (and you have to say goodbye to the characters etc that you’ve grown to “love”).
  5. Massachusetts has a proposed 5% sales tax on elective cosmetic surgery; I think I feel ambivalent about this.
  6. Low-key celebrations makes for a happy holiday.
  7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to finishing up my final exam (not particularly fun, but it means one less class session to attend), tomorrow my plans include building/installing a cutting table in my office and Sunday, I want to [potentially] organize my office (particularly the bags of scraps that are clogging up my closet)!

  • Yeah, why haven’t they figured out that transporter thing. Talk about a way to stop the emissions of carbon dioxides into the atmosphere. 5% sales tax on cosmetic surgery, huh? I assume that is for elective surgery. Not the kind that helps accident and burn victims. Because that would kinda suck. Low-key is the only way to go for the holidays.

I just finished re-reading the Meredith Gentry series from Laurell K Hamilton. There is another book in the series being released December 10th. I am always sad to finish them. This was the fourth time of reading them for me. I still find little nuances to the story every time I read them.
