has just spent the entire morning dealing with house stuff. There was a fireplace repairman, an HVAC consultant, and a pre-approval mortgage phone call. Oh, there were also family contacts regarding in-between plans (you know, for that time that we’re in-between houses, that undetermined length of time that could make me hyperventilate if I thought about it too much, because our stuff will all be in storage and we’ll be living out of suitcases and our cats will be living in strange, foreign lands where
will most certainly lose her mind, so I don’t think about that time, not much at least, because, can you see the crazy?). And tonight he’s going to do a home repair that involves cutting a hole in the ceiling and looking at the dryer vent.
Isn’t he wonderful? I’ve already thanked him profusely for dealing with all of this, but I thought I’d put it out there in the world, to brag about all the wonderfulness that he is, to make him blush. OK, I’ve never seen him blush. It might be possible, though.
For my part, while I’m not working on re-writing contracts (again), I’ll be writing a paper, so that I have more free time at home for packing and dealing with moving stuff. I can’t do the reading here, but I can write, especially during the down times. Nobody seems to get uppity about it, and I think it’s more productive than spending 2 hours reading blogs. And as much as I love blogs (reading, writing, thinking about them in general), there does come a time when you have to say stop.
Alright, I think that was the end of my break from the crazy contract re-writing. The process currently involves a black permanent marker, a yellow highlighter, and a green pen. Oh, and 40 pages of content.
