I feel so old

First of all, I seriously need a nap. I was up until… 11:30 last night, waiting for my laundry to dry.

Second of all, library resources at college have gotten significantly cooler since I first went (a mere 9 years ago). I can now go online and find the articles I want, and, catch this, have a PDF of the article, along with proper APA citations, emailed to me.

This thrills me to no end. There are about 20 articles in my Inbox right now on AIDS and Africa and foreign relations. Exciting, no? It means I don’t have to go to the college library, and since I’m never at the main campus (both of my classes are on a different campus, except for the online one, which I can take in my pjs), that is huge deal.

What other cool progress has been made in the library world since I worked at Judson’s. (Yes, I did work in the library at Judson, for two whole years, the morning shift no less! One year in periodicals and one year at the front desk. You can admit it. You think I’m super cool now. I know.)

  1. But you went to school 2 years after I did (or rather, started 2 years after I started). A lot can change in 2 years.

It’s entirely possible that we just didn’t have the money or resources for such a system.
