Well, we’re halfway through January, and I feel pretty good about my progress on certain goals I have.
- I eat breakfast every day. One Saturday I skipped, but otherwise I’ve made the time.
- I’ve been drinking more water (except for the last two days, since a knife I’d brought for my lunch pierced my water bottle causing it to leak and die), though not nearly the 70 ounces I would like to. I think I’m up to 32 ounces roughly.
- No more feeling guilty for sleeping on the bus. Having a crafting project or something to read is about the only thing that makes me not sleep on the bus, so I’ve been doing that too a bit.
- Always removing makeup before bed.
- I’ve spent $3.50 of my $50 fabric budget, though that might change this weekend (hopefully not by much).
- No yarn buying.
- The only books I’ve bought have been some old crafting books on ebay, and they’re quite small (smaller than magazines), and one from Half Price Books.
- Still caffeine-free (except for chocolate).
- I have been eating healthier, though I can’t yet say that I eat healthy (see the distinction?). Lunches this week have been very healthy (with the exception of the peanut butter with my celery, which is no longer the Reduced Fat Jif I ran out of, but regular, which is a total calorie dump).
- I will be seeing my friends this weekend, though I have not been good about keeping in touch via email.
- My positive attitude still needs some work.
- The goal I’ve failed on has been working out. The first week of January I did pretty good, but then the competing interests of sleep, crafting, and working out before classes started sort of derailed the train. It’s been nearly 10 days since I’ve been. I kinda don’t feel guilty about that, and that’s probably not a good thing. I did weigh myself last week and saw that I last 0.5 pounds, though that could just be standing on the scale slightly differently. Clearly I need to work a bit harder on this.
And, for my winter goals, I’ve:
- Completed one item of clothing for January (a wool skirt which I haven’t had the chance to wear yet because it’s been too cold and I’m wary of wearing tights/nylons while still itchy).
- Not picked up a new hobby.
Since I have through March to complete these, I feel this is adequate progress.
How are you doing with any goals you might have, or lifestyle changes you’re trying out?
