What, if any, historical events occurred during your elementary school days? Middle school? High school?
The only thing I can think of for elementary school is the Challenger explosion. I’m sure there were many other important things.
When I was in junior high, the Berlin wall fell, and that was a pretty big deal.
In high school… I can’t think of one single thing. Boy, that’s not good for a future Social Studies teacher, is it? Truthfully, my thinking at the moment is limited to things I was aware of during those years, and I know that I didn’t pay attention to world happenings at all in high school.
