Dunked Bread

1 loaf Italian or French bread
1 stick butter or margarine
1/3 cup beer
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Melt butter in pan, add garlic and beer. Slice the bread in half horizontally, then make cuts one inch apart nearly through. Dip bread into mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Roast slowly on a grill or in the oven just until golden brown.

We cut bread into 6-8 inch sections, and then dipped and grilled.
